VASTU - Which plants should be kept in the house as per Vastu Shastra







According to Vastu Shastra, the way every part of the house affects our lives, similarly the plants kept for decoration in the house also have a positive and negative effect on our lives. Proper choice and usage of plants can increase wealth and prosperity of residents.


1.     In Tulsi plant, goddess of wealth is considered to be the dwelling of Lakshmi. The second advantage is that this plant is never made of trees, it remains the same after its maximum height.

2.     Avoid planting any type of plant in the bedroom. This can have a bad effect on Married Life. Pots can be kept in the dining and drawing room.

3.     According to Vastu experts, basil plant should not be planted in the southern part of the house, because basil plant in the southern part of the house can cause considerable damage. Apart from this you can put it in any direction

4.     There should not be artificial plants in the house, they are considered inauspicious. 

5.     Bargad and Peepal like trees which extract milk are not considered good.

6.     Bonsai plant should not be prepared in the house or brought from outside. According to Vaastu Shastra, the Bonsai plant stops the economic development of members living in the house.

7.     It is believed that the Ashoka tree helps remove sufferings and grief and brings joy.

8.     Bamboo plant is an indicator of luck and peace. It brings fame and wealth.

9.     Thorny trees including Babul around the house can create disputes.

10.      A tree in the middle of the main door or gate of the house is not good.
